Entertainment in the airport...

Caleb is a very talented entertainer and would like to show off his latest moves in the airport...

Now this is more like it...

First of all, we need to clarify one thing: Elsy LOVES snow...

Despite our previous posts with nice warm weather, we woke up to typical cold, SNOWY Kansas City. We had fun making snow angels, having a snowball fight and feeding Elsy snow...

A view from our front porch, and from the back

Hooray! Let's layer up to play in the snow!

Look! SNOW! Up to my knees!

Getting ready to jump on the sled and woosh down the hill

More swinging Caleb stayed huddled on the swing all day

We're swingin' in the snow, swingin in the snow (to the tune of Singing in the Rain)

Elsy danced for joy! Again, Caleb on the swing...

Valentine's Weekend and Cincinnati

Our Valentine's weekend began with a rough trip to Kentucky. Apparently, KCI decided to let go too many employees and there was only one shuttle driver for the entire airport and we waited for 45 minutes, only to discover Northwest Airlines will NOT let you on the plane any later than 30 minutes prior to departure time. Not even 22 minutes...Needless to say, we visited Minneapolis, Detroit, and then Louisville before we picked up our rental car to drive to Lexington. I had two interviews at UK College of Dentistry, then we drove to Shawn's hometown, Monticello where we were greeted by our adorable nieces.

Troublesome Trio: Jaedyn, Caleb and Brylee

Getting a Valentine's Day balloon from Aunt Crystal
Friday we drove up to see Jess and David in Cincinnati where we were treated to homemade doughnuts! She even made heart-shaped doughnut holes in chocolate and powered sugar! YUM!

Caleb LOVED his breakfast treat

Aunt Jess treated us to PF Changs for Valentine's Day lunch while the men watched a game at Champs

Next stop, IKEA! We fell in love with the kids section!

Look mommy, egg chairs!
Shawn and I celebrated our Valentine's Day in a very special way. Shawn's top pick for residency program, The Christ Hospital, had a second glance dinner and provided us dinner and a VIP private tour of the Cincinnati Bengal's stadium!

On the field! Go Bengals go!

Our last stop was Jungle Jim's. This international grocery bazaar is known for their award winning bathrooms including a replica of Henry VIII's velvet lined comode...

Caleb drove the grocery cart around until he found the candy aisle

A sunny weekend forecast...

This weekend, we made a family trip to Lowe's...Daddy is building Caleb a new bookshelf! Caleb was very helpful finding the perfect lumber.

Here it is! This is the PERFECT piece!

Caleb discovered hard work makes you dirty and had to take a bubble bath.

After our hard work at Lowe's, we decided to visit our favorite park and have us some fun in the RARE sunshine...
This way to the park...
Whew! Takin' a breather on the bleachers
Hmm...where to start?

Today was a particularly warm day here in Kansas City reaching a high of 62 degrees! We decided to take advantage of this unusual occasion and invited our neighbors over to play and rake up some leaves in our backyard. Much fun and plenty of dusty bottoms ensued!

Ella, Max and Caleb in the treehouse

Elsy couldn't resist getting a lick off of Max's salty little cheeks!

Weeee! Leaves are fun!

Caleb wanted to lend his Daddy a helping hand with the rake

Watch me jump in the leaves Mommy!

Of course Caleb takes after his mother and realizes the importance of oral hygiene. Despite the fact he does not have any contacts, Caleb feels flossing his teeth is VERY important...He loves his Wal-E electric toothbrush, thanks to Grandma Jen Jen and Grampy and even knows how to get those hard to reach first molars! :) Way to go Caleb! It makes Mommy very proud!

And FLOSS!

Caleb has found a new fascination in the bathroom. His latest obsession is of the paper variety and loves to roll ALL of the toilet paper off of the roll and onto the floor. Preparing for his bubble bath last night, I stepped to his room to grab some jammies and I found this fun surprise...
