Our summer vacation

Our one week vacation started out witha trip to New Mexico to meet up with Grampy Wally and Grandma Jen-Jen for a weekend adventure.

Grampy and Grandma pick-up service at the airport in Albu.

We were treated to yummy Tucano's for lunch!

Next stop, Embassy Suites for our weekend stay

Our first adventure brought us to the Museum of Natural History

Grandma and Caleb learning about dinosaurs

If I lived in prehistoric times...

NM used to be one big ocean

Action shot...a wishing well in a cave

Now entering the Twilight Zone

RRRRRRRRRRooooar! (I miss the beautiful skies)

Grampy and the mighty stegosaurus

We were lucky to see Phil's new apartment and ride on her dolphin

Lunch break at Chick-Fil-a

Can you spot Caleb amidst the jungle attire for the zoo?

Caleb wanted to see animals, not take pictures

Wild safari: a glance into the life of a giraffe

What's that Grandma Jen Jen?

We all needed a snack, even the fish

The highlight of the zoo trip: CAMEL RIDE

Caleb, the Camel Cowboy

Another water source to throw money at, hooray!

Grandma guiding Caleb deep beneath the ocean

He could sit at the aquarium all day and dream

His favorite part, the shark (Grandma is now called "Shark Girl")

Watch out for the botanical dragon!

Entering the giant pumpkin (even has a squishy floor)

More maidens to rescue in the botanical castle

Sippahhhh... a little Starbucks break

After the grandparents deparated, Felicia invited us to some buckin' bronco fun at Caleb's first rodeo...

Next stop, Cincinnati...and he had his own seat (thank goodness, mom's belly is too big for two)

Aunt Jess hanging out at our new "Tucky Tucky" home as Caleb puts it

Nana and Papa came up for a visit, too!

A special treat, riding the two story carousel with Daddy

Enjoying more Nana and Papa time in the mall

He was convinced this would be his Halloween costume but has since changed his mind several times. We had such a great time with both grandparents, sisters and cousins but most of all, with Shawn! We miss him so much and cannot wait until May when we can all live under the same roof! We love you!!

Caleb's creative side

Caleb decided he would like to paint as well. Last weekend, we relaxed on the front porch/lawn and let the creative juices flow. Max decided to help out, too! We later read stories on the lawn and had a picnic and then made dessert inside to finish up with some culinary creativity!
